Cutina® Shine: Innovative gloss for Asian hair
Asian women are known for their silky, ebony hair which looks especially great when it is long and shows off its shine. Filled with exceptional shine, this kind of hair needs a special care product. Lanolin is a very popular hair gloss agent in the Asian market and has been adapted to personal care formulation for long time. Since consumer demand more and more animal-free orientated materials, we developed Cutina® Shine (INCI: Dicocoyl Pentaerythrityl Distearyl Citrate) a gloss and hydro-balance agent especially suited for Asian hair. This conditioning agent is of vegetable/synthetic origin and therefore an ideal replacement for lanolin.

Increased silicone deposition
Cutina® Shine makes a clear contribution to an enhanced silicone uptake on Asian hair. We have tested the silicone deposition from a prototype conditioner with Cutina® Shine compared to the same conditioner without Cutina® Shine on damaged hair. The result: About 14% more silicones were found on the hair strands treated with the conditioner formulation containing 1% Cutina® Shine.
