Oxidation free process

Using Securlana™ is particularly quick and easy. It can be integrated into all common treatment processes and requires only standard machinery. In contrast to conventional wool protection methods, treatment with Securlana™ is extremely gentle because it requires no chemical pre-treatment. Securlana™ is applied in one simple and chlorine-free step directly after washing. The external, natural protection layer of the wool fiber remains intact and, in addition, the wool is rinsed and neutralized.

As a result, unwanted residue can be avoided during application. In conventional application processes, the surface of the fiber is damaged through oxidation and then through reduction. Only at the very end of the process do protecting polymers come into contact with the wool. Thanks to the one-step process of Securlana™, the side effects of oxidation and subsequent reduction are avoided. The external layer of the fiber is not damaged by treatment with Securlana™ and this makes it particularly suitable for use with knitwear made of lamb's wool and blends.

Advantages of Securlana™ application:

  • Easy integration into existing finishing processes
  • One-step treatment - meaning fewer process elements
  • Time and cost reduction
  • Wool is not chemically weakened or damaged
  • The process is oxidation and chlorine free
  • Meets the certification requirements for Ökotex standard 100

Additives you can combine:

  • No extra treatment or softener is required
  • Additional protection for the prevention of cross staining is generally unnecessary - even for multicolored garments
  • Compatible with Repellan® stain and water protection
  • Special additional treatments can be added, and tailored solutions developed to meet individual customer requirements.
