A study showed that after only two days of using Skintex®, the appearance of the skin is visibly improved. Twelve testers wore Skintex® socks for eight hours and two days. Each time they wore a Skintex® treated sock on one leg and an untreated one on the other. The research found that 67% of the test subjects loved the product and 56% would buy it immediately. (The test was conducted using tube socks equipped with Skintex® made of a mixture of cotton, polyamide and elastane.)

Repeat performance – Just wash and go

There comes a time when Skintex® moisturizing treated garments will need to be washed. Fortunately though, washing Skintex® treated items doesn’t mean the end of enjoyment. Microcapsules will survive the wash and start working again as soon as the item is worn. In fact, even after several washes, when the effects of the microcapsules are no longer perceptible, the highly active ingredients still go on working. Traces of Vitamin E, for instance, so small they can only be detected by analysis, continue to protect against premature skin aging. So, depending on the type of textile being used, up to 45% of the active Skintex® agents will still remain after 10 washes at 40°C if washed according to washing-instructions. The best way to get the most out of Skintex® treated garments is, of course, to wash them by hand. This minimizes the loss of actives during washing and maximizes their effect on the skin when the item is worn.
